THALASSERY: The District and Sessions Court here on Thursday issued arrest warrant against Communist Party of India (Marxist) leaders, including Kannur MP A.P. Abdullakutty and K.K. Shylaja, MLA, for their continuous failure to appear in court in connection with a case relating to the attack on the police during a protest march in Kannur four years ago. Assistant Sessions judge V.P. Jayanand issued the warrant against Mr. Abdullakutty, Ms. Shylaja, CPI(M) leaders T. Govindan, M.V. Govindan, James Mathew, T. Krishnan and K.P. The case was registered on a complaint lodged by the then Dy.SP P.K. Vijayan.
