Indian teams fall in quarterfinals

NEW DELHI: The Indian challenge in the Asian junior table tennis championship was restricted to playoff for minor places after losing tamely in the quarterfinals of three categories at Hoengseong, Korea, on Thursday.

The boys lost to top seed Korea 0-3 while the girls went down by a similar margin to top seed China. In the cadet boys’ section, India lost 1-3 to Korea 1.
