Happy mood: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Basavaraj Horatti being welcomed by students at the inauguration of Nammura Government Model Higher Primary School at K.P. Agrahara in Bangalore on Thursday.
Bangalore: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Basavaraj Horatti inaugurated “Nammuru” Government Model Primary and Higher Primary Schools at Padarayanapura and Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, respectively, here on Thursday. These schools have been built with the grant given under Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan. Binnypet MLA V. Somanna had released money from the MLA’s Local Area Development Fund for the school. The school at Padarayanapura, which is on the premises of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s school, has 14 classrooms. The foundation stone has been laid for building eight more classrooms. “Eleven classrooms each will be used to teach in Kannada and Urdu medium, respectively,” said Mujebhunnissa, Headmistress of the Government Urdu Primary School. T. Thimmaiah, Headmaster of the Kannada school, said that the new school building would help in conducting classes independently of the BBMP school’s timings.
