Heavy rains curtail opening day’s races

Pune: Soon after the completion of first race, the rains delayed the start of the second race for some time and the day’s remaining programme continued further. But the heavy downpour after the sixth race forced the authorities of RWITC to cancel the remaining four races of the day, as the underfoot conditions left no option. The seventh race which was the feature event of the day, Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy will be rescheduled in future.
