MRF third quarter net profit surges

CHENNAI: MRF has reported net sales and income from operations of Rs. 1,133.43 crore in the three months ended June 30, 2007, against Rs. 994.77 crore in the year-ago period. The operating profit was Rs. 117.66 crore (Rs. 65.09 crore) and the net profit Rs. 42.50 crore (Rs. 8.17 crore). The directors have approved the payment of interim dividend of Rs. 3 per share (30 per cent).
