According to police sources, ADG (Rules and Manuals) Ajai Singh had allegedly taken money from some people last year when he was the ADG (Food Cell) and assured them of jobs. When the victims did not get jobs, they demanded their money back but Mr. Singh issued a cheque to one of them which turned out to be fake, they said. Police chief’s directive
The victims later approached the State police chief Vikram Singh and on his direction the case was registered a few days back. The sources said the State anti-corruption cell would investigate the matter. -- PTI
