NOIDA: Fresh from his stint at the David Leadbetter Academy, Ajeetesh Sandhu shot a penultimate round of level par 72 to join Simrajeet Singh, Manav Das and Fatehbir Dhaliwal in a four-way lead with a tally of 224 at the LG Noida Open amateur golf championship at the Noida Golf Club here on Thursday. Sandhu started steadily with seven straight pars but dropped a shot on the eighth to make the turn at one over. On the back nine he birdied the 10th, bogeyed the 13th and signed off with a birdie of the 18th. Simarjeet, who led the tournament for the first two days, had a poor round of six-over 78, but still managed to hand on to the top of the leaderboard.
