GURGAON: Anirban Lahiri, Ranjit Singh, Raj Randhawa and Feroze Ali made good headway in their quest to join professional golf as they grabbed the top three spots at the midway stage in the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) qualifying school at the Golden Greens Golf and Country Club here. Anirban Lahiri backed up his 71 with an impressive round of four-under 68 to open up a three-stroke lead over Ranjit Singh and Raj Randhawa. Lahiri, the silver medallist at the Doha Asian Games, had a two-round aggregate of five-under 139. Ranjit Singh and Raj Randhawa, who shot rounds of 69 and 70 respectively, were joint second at 142. Feroze Ali, the former Indian Open winner, added a second round of 71 to his 74 and moved into the fourth place.
