The modern premises of YAREM Hyderabad
NEW DELHI: The only thing that is constant in the dynamic world around us is change. The days when young people had little choice but to get into conventional careers are long gone. The new generation these days is far more experimental in choosing new career options which are unconventional, challenging, exciting and well-paying. The phenomenal growth in the real estate sector during the past couple of years has opened up new avenues of professional opportunities for young men and women in India. According to an estimate, the real estate industry in the country is growing at an astronomical rate of 33 per cent per annum and will soon be a 50 billion dollar industry. This remarkable growth has attracted multi-national realty companies to the country. Despite several job opportunities, the real estate industry is facing a shortage of trained manpower who understand various aspects of the real estate business. A few institutes in the country have started post-graduate courses in real estate management to bring in professionalism to this industry. One such Institute is Yagnas Academy of Real Estate Management (YAREM) that recently started a real estate management course. The course covers all aspects of real estate management including project management, legal issues pertaining to property, income tax issues and all other aspects related to the field.Says YAREM Director Kamal Agarwal: “We have designed the course syllabus in such a way that it will make our students real estate professionals or even become self-employed brokers.” Keeping in mind the scarcity of trained manpower in the industry, Mr. Agarwal adds, students doing a full-time course in real estate management are assured of a placement with a good pay-package. Students at the Institute can also look forward to a stint abroad. Mr. Agarwal explains: “We are tying up with a U.K. university for a two-month student exchange programme which will enable students to get exposed to the working environment abroad.”
