BANGALORE: The city will soon have a 500-bed super-speciality and tertiary care hospital, complete with 14 major speciality operating rooms, over 100 intensive care beds and a comprehensive emergency care and trauma unit. Spread over a 50-acre campus off Mysore Road, the BGS Global Hospital is likely to commence operations in August. The hospital, according to its chairman K. Ravindranath, will provide healthcare facilities to people of eight districts around Bangalore. The hospital will also feature a liver ICU and facilities such as “prometheus” liver support system to undertake dialysis of both liver and kidney.
