To the President with love

Their souvenir: Children of the Berachah Bala Bhavan at Othera in Pathanamthitta district with the jumbo greetings card they made, before sending it to President Pratibha Patil on Friday.

The children at the Berachah Bala Bhavan, an orphanage run by the Berachah Foundation, a charitable trust at Othera in Thiruvalla taluk of Pathanamthitta district, have sent a jumbo greetings card to President Pratibha Patil. They made a collage of news reports and clippings and photographs on the swearing-in ceremony of the new President on a 143 cm X 113 cm canvas embellished with watercolour and tri-colour on the border. The card, addressed to ‘Pratibha didi,̵ 7; carried 11 newspaper clippings, including that of TheHindu. Johnson V. Idicullah, founder-director, said the card was sent to Ms. Patil by post on Friday.
