Muzaffarnagar: Ten people, including a Samajwadi Party leader, were booked under the Gangster Act by the Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday. Mehrajuddin, who contested Assembly elections from Morna constituency as an SP candidate, was booked for being involved in a double murder case in Tewra village in the district in 2003, along with his accomplices, said SSP Sushil Kumar Singh. So far 85 people in 21 cases have been booked under this Act in the district since last week.
