One killed, three injured in accident

KASARAGOD: One person was killed and three others were injured when two cars collided at Banthiyode, near Uppala, on the Kasaragod-Mangalore highway in the district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as K.V. Premarajan of Cherukunnu in Kannur district.

Though he was taken to a private hospital at Mangalore, he could not be saved. He was running a restaurant near Kannur Government Hospital. The injured were identified by the police as Hashim, 28, of Pachambala here, and Suphile, 27, and Ranbir, 28, both natives of Mathoor in Kannur.

They were admitted to a private hospital at Banthiyode.
