Isolated rain likely in north T.N.
CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in centimetres:- Podili (Prakasam dt) 15, Srikalahasti (Chittoor dt) 10, Sholingur (Vellore dt) and Walajapet (Vellore dt) 9 each, Arakonam (Vellore dt) and Pakala (Chittoor dt) 8 each and Chennai and Bapatla 7 each. FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and south coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Telangana and south Tamil Nadu. Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
