BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party’s disciplinary committee on Saturday revoked former State Minister Gauri Shankar Shejwar’s suspension from the party. Dr. Shejwar, who was earlier the leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, was suspended from the BJP on October 28 last year. The suspension came when he was seen welcoming the former Chief Minister Uma Bharti after she had been expelled from the BJP for indiscipline. Apology accepted
The State BJP disciplinary committee, headed by senior party leader Kailash Sarang, met here on Saturday afternoon. When contacted, Dr. Shejwar said that he had expressed regrets for any “wrong action” on his part and asked the party to revoke his suspension so that he could wholeheartedly devote himself to party work.
