Hegde posts win

Bangalore: K.S. Hegde, Mangalore defeated Devanga Sports Union 63-59 in a State ‘B’ division basketball league’s relegation round match at the Sree Kanteerava courts here on Saturday.

K.S. Hegde led 31-30 at the break and topped the last two quarters to pocket the match. Harsha (19) excelled for the victors.

In another relegation round match, Kanaka, Kolar defeated Vidyaranyapura Sports Club 57-25. Ramakrishna (21) played a decisive role in Kanaka Kolar’s triumph.

Afternoon showers forced the organisers to postpone the quarterfinals to Sunday.
