Pranshu and Monica win

New Delhi: Pranshu Gupta defeated Varun Jindal 8-11, 11-7, 11-6, 6-11, 12-10 in the final of the youth boys’ section of the Hans Raj Model School Open table tennis tournament here.

In the youth girls final, Monica Batra beat Esha Monga 11-6, 11-13, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9, 11-4. Monica also won the sub-junior girls title overcoming Aashita Jain 11-5, 11-6, 8-11, 11-5.

Monica lost the girls junior title to Esha Monga 12-10, 14-16, 7-11, 7-11, 11-8, 6-11. Kashish Kohli won the tiny tots title with a 12-10, 11-7, 8-11, 15-13 victory over Parth Virmani.
