KARIMNAGAR: Campaigning for the elections to the recognised trade union in the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has been intensified with the completion of withdrawals and scrutiny of nominations on Friday. Against a total of 12 trade unions, who have filed their nominations, two of them including Singareni Telangana udyogula sangham and Shramika Shakthi Godavariloya Bogu Ghani Karmika Union (AIFTU) have withdrawn from the contest. The elections would be held on August 9. Peddapalli MP and senior Congress leader G. Venkatswamy had campaigned on behalf of INTUC along with Government Whip D. Sridhar Babu in Godavarikhani on Saturday.
