Rain cripples North Bihar, Governor pulls up Nitish Govt.

PATNA: With the death toll rising and roads and rail communication nearly crippled in north Bihar, Governor R.S. Gavai pulled up the State government for failing to come to the rescue of the millions distressed by the current spate of floods.Mr. Gavai summoned Deputy Chief Minister S.K. Modi and expressed concern at the deteriorating situation and directed the State government to come up with a relief and rescue programme.

Mr. Gavai sent for Mr. Modi in the absence of CM.
