Photography awards to be presented today

KOCHI: Kerala Lalithakala Akademi will organise a function at the Durbar Hall Art Centre here on Monday to give away the State photography awards. Minister for Cultural Affairs and Education M.A. Baby will present the awards.

An exhibition of photographs will also be inaugurated on the occasion. Sebastian Paul, MP, will inaugurate the exhibition. K. Chandran Pillai, MP, and K.V. Thomas, MLA, will felicitate the award winners.

A film show on ‘adventure photography: 150 years of the photographic image (Part-I)’ will be held after the inauguration of the exhibition. The second part of the film will be screened at 6 p.m. on July 31.
