THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State CPI(M) has decided to raise funds to assist the victims of police firing and lathicharge in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. In a statement here on Monday, the CPI(M) State secretariat said a one-day fund collection would be organised on August 2 for the purpose. Six persons had been killed and several wounded in the firing and lathicharge. The CPI(M) and CPI have been on a stir in the State demanding publication of the Koneru Ranga Rao Committee report on land redistribution. DYFI protest
The State unit of the DYFI has decided to organise protest meetings on August 3.
