Russian Navy Day celebrated

NEW DELHI: A function to celebrate Russian Navy Day was organised at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture here this past week.

Titled ‘Russian Navy: Past and Present’, the function was organised jointly by the office of the Russian Military Attache and the Unity International Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Planning V. Rajasekharan said India’s emergence as one of the five largest economies of the world would not have been possible without the special Indo-Soviet ties after Independence.
