Interact club installation

The installation of the office bearers of the Interact Club of Vidya Vikasini Matriculation Higher Secondary School was held recently.

P.H.F.E.R.Rajaram, the president of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Central, inaugurated the installation ceremony.

S.S.Jayalakshmi, Founder and Correspondent of the Vidya Vikasini Institutions, asked the studnes to make use of the opportunity to serve the society.

Fruits Day

The kindergarten students of Sree Narayana Mission Matriculation School celebrated ‘Fruits Day.

’ This was organised as part of the activity-based curriculum followed in the school.

Different kinds of fruits were displayed and the teachers introduced them to new fruits they hadn’t seen or tasted before.

The children were also taught songs about fruits. The importance of eating fruits was also explained to the children.

At the end of the programme the teachers prepared fruit salad and distributed it to the students.

Fancy dress

SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School conducted a fancy dress competition for its kindergarten and primary section.

Students dressed as former president A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and Charlie Chaplin drew cheers from the crowd.

Some of them appeared on stage dressed as Tanjore dolls and one even as a penguin.

‘Be more creative’

P.V.Selvaraj, Professor of Chemistry, PSG College of Technology, urged the students of APG Matriculation School to be more creative and innovative to meet the growing demand caused by scientific and technological development. He was addressing the students at the inauguration of the Science Club in the school.

‘Vanamahotsavam’

Gandhi Matriculation School, Sirumugai, celebrated “Vanamahotsavam” to preserve the forest wealth around the school. Professor of Forest College, Avudai Nayakam, was the chief guest. He distributed more than 300 saplings to students.
