Four agro parks to be set up

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Four integrated food parks offering a range of facilities to farmers and other users are proposed to be set up in the private sector in the State at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,000 crore.

The proposed parks will have demonstration plots, state-of-the-art processing facilities, supply chain management systems, cold chain and warehousing infrastructure, production facilities, R&D and incubation centres and training facilities for rural youth. City-based Indu Projects on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Tuesday with YES Bank and a strategic partner Alterra, a part of Wageningen University Research Centre, Netherlands, for setting up the four parks.

I. Syam Prasad Reddy, CEO & MD, Indu Projects, said at a press conference later that the detailed project report is awaited.
