BANGALORE: A field, which includes Virender Sehwag, Munaf Patel, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa, besides all leading players of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad will be seen in action in the KSCA all-India invitation cricket tournament, which gets underway here on Wednesday. Chemplast, the Chennai outfit, is the defending champion. Chemplast opens its campaign against Baroda CA on Wednesday. Sehwag and Munaf will represent ONGC. Uthappa and Raina will don Air-India’s colours, while Mongia will represent Chemplast. The host KSCA will field three outfits in the tournament with Yere Goud leading a strong KSCA XI. The other two outfits from the State are KSCA Colts and KSCA President’s XI. A relatively young outfit, TNCA XI will be led by Vasudev Doss. There are 12 teams in the fray and they have been pooled into four groups with two in each group moving into quarterfinal knock-out stage. The groupings: Group A: KSCA XI, Kerala CA, IOC; Group ‘B’: KSCA President’s XI, Hyderabad CA, Air-India; Group ‘C: Chemplast, Baroda CA, KSCA Colts XI; < em style="b">Group ‘D’: TNCA XI, Indian Airlines, ONGC.
