Special Assembly session from October 2

BHUBANESWAR: A special session of Orissa Legislative Assembly has been convened to commemorate completion of 150 years of the first freedom struggle in India from October 2.

Speaker Maheshwar Mohanty, who chaired an all-party meeting here on Tuesday, said a special meeting would be organised at Sardar Patel Hall, the first Legislative Assembly building of the State on that day. Legislators would participate in the meeting during the next two days, the Speaker said.

A book describing contribution by freedom fighters to freedom movement would be released on the occasion. A photo exhibition on freedom fighters would also be organised. Freedom fighters would be felicitated on the occasion.
