Legendary Russian traveller remembered

NEW DELHI: Glowing tributes were paid to legendary Russian traveller Afanasiy Nikitin by speakers at a function at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture here on Monday. Former Cabinet Minister K. P. Singh Deo presided over the function. Famous Russian traveller Valentin Efremov who made an unprecedented journey to the North Pole in a hot-air balloon was also present.
