Aid-India theatre festival

Aid-India, a non-government organisation that works with underprivileged children in Tamil Nadu, is organising a drama festival for them this weekend.

Around 200 children will be in the city to exhibit their skills and attend a theatre workshop that will be attended by artists such as Velu Saravanan, Gnani and Pralayan.

The Eureka Children’s Drama Festival, to be held at Loyola College, began in village libraries run by Aid-India.

About 15,000 children from over 750 villages acted in plays they chose, prepared and enacted.

The children will also attend sessions on Math and Science-based activities as well as creative workshops.
