The Kerala High Court has praised Inspector-General of Police T.P. Senkumar for registering a case against the partners of the LiS Deepasthambam Scheme on the charges of cheating and violation of the Prize, Chits and Money Circulation Scheme (Banning) Act. Considering six revision petitions against the decision to register the case on July 19, Justice R. Basant said in his judgment that “at least one police officer opened his eyes and swung into action belatedly while all the other powers that be feigned slumber is no evidence of his mala fides.’ ’Making an observation on similar schemes, Mr. Basant said “Paul can be robbed to pay Peter and ultimately when there is a large mass of Peters they will be left in the lurch.” G.
