Mudigonda toll rises to 7

HYDERABAD: After battling for life for over three days, J. Balaswamy, 32, who sustained a bullet injury in the police firing at Mudigonda of Khammam district on last Saturday, died in the early hours of Tuesday here at Osmania General Hospital (OGH), taking the total death toll to seven. The victim, a vegetable vendor, is survived by wife Ramanamma and three daughters.

Balaswamy was stated to have gone to Mudigonda to buy vegetables when he was caught in the clash between the CPI (M) activists and the police. He collapsed after a bullet pierced through his abdomen.
