Be strong, sister tells Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai: “Bhaiya, be strong,” Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was told by his sister-MP Priya as the actor bid farewell to his relatives in the Arthur Jail here after being sentenced to six years in jail in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Priya, Sanjay’s elder sister Namrata and brothers-in-law Owen Roncon and Kumar Gaurav were among those who bid farewell to Sanjay before he entered the high security jail in Central Mumbai.

Waves to family

The film star waved and blew kisses to his family members for some distance after passing them.

The special TADA court granted permission to Sanjay to meet his relatives and family members who were staying at a nearby hotel keeping track of the proceedings. Sanjay was sentenced for the illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle and a pistol. — PTI
