Chellamani, Radhika emerge fastest

Radhika did not sweat much to win her title

Coimbatore: B. Chellamani and P. Radhika of Athletic Foundation clinched the girls’ under-18 and 20 100 metres gold respectively on the opening day of the Coimbatore district athletic championship at the PRS grounds here on Monday.

Radhika did not sweat much, but Chellamani was forced to dig deep to get past S. Maheswari and R. Monica from Kovai Athletic Club for the u-18 gold.

Amrita University secured 50 points to pocket the best physique team championship for men in the Coimbatore inter-collegiate athletic association games on Tuesday.
