Rain continues in Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri

Krishnagiri: Heavy rain lashed various parts of Krishnagiri district for the second consecutive day on Wednesday with Nedungal recording 115 mm.

The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday is as follows (in mm): Krishnagiri 43.2, Rayakottai 40, Krishnagiri dam 37.8, Barur 37.8, Pochampalli 15, Shoolagiri 20, Hosur 11, Uthangarai 11.4, Mathur 8.6 and Thally 29.

Low-lying areas in Krishnagiri town were inundated following the rain.

The average rainfall recorded in Dharmapuri district (in mm) is as follows: Pennagaram 30, Collectorate 16, Palacode 13, Dharmapuri 30, Pappireddipatti 4 and Harur 3.
