Doctor held in kidnap case
Ashok Kumar
NEW DELHI: The doctor who injected sedatives to a girl who was allegedly abducted at Kalyanpuri here and criminally assaulted by four young men, has been arrested.
Dr. Satish Chandra, who runs a clinic in Khoda Colony in Noida, was arrested late on Tuesday night based on the statement of the victim, the police said.
The girl, a resident of Kalyanpuri, had gone missing in July last year and was traced to a house in Mukherjee Nagar this past Friday. In her statement, the victim had alleged that after she was kidnapped, the accused sedated her and filmed her in compromising positions. They even made her dance at parties and threatened to circulate the video-film in case she tried to flee.
On Saturday, Jolly, brother of one of the accused Bobby, and his accomplices Hari Kishan, Neeraj and Harvinder went to the victim’s residence, vandalised the house and threatened her not to report the matter to the police. On the basis of the complaint, the police arrested them. Late in the evening, Bobby was also arrested on charges of assaulting the victim.
Bobby ran a dancing school at Mayur Vihar where the victim was enrolled.
