Court notice to AIIMS Director
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences administration and its Director P. Venugopal on a petition by its former Chief Protocol and Public Relations Officer B.K. Dash seeking a direction to immediately release his belongings which were illegally shifted from his office room and dumped into another room when he was in service.
Justice Hima Kohli of the Court directed the respondents to file replies to the petition by September 19.
‘Illegally shifted’
Mr. Dash through his lawyer submitted that the respondents in his absence had illegally shifted from his office room all his personal belongings including passport, PAN card, cheque books, pass books, National Saving Certificates (NSC), cash and property documents, into another room and sealed it when he was away on leave.
When he came back from leave, he found that a senior officer of the Institute was in occupation of his room.
On being enquired, the officer told him that the Director had divested him of the post and ordered the shifting and sealing of all his personal belongings, Mr. Dash submitted.
