Parish priest drugged by servant

NEW DELHI: A young servant drugged his employer at Mayapuri here on Wednesday and decamped with valuables kept in a church.

The priest of John de Britto Church, Father Thomas D’Cunha, was on Wednesday found unconscious. He was allegedly drugged by his Nepali servant Thapa who was employed only a few days ago. Thapa escaped with valuables and left a note saying he was committing the crime as he needed money for his mother’s treatment.

The priest has been admitted to Holy Family Hospital.
