Travel plans disrupted: Passengers waiting at the reservation counters at the Erode Railway Junction on Wednesday, to cancel their reserved tickets to Chennai. —

ERODE: Due to the cancellation of 6670 Yercaud Express, 2672 Nilgiri Express and 2676 Kovai Express to Chennai from Erode and Coimbatore on Wednesday, passengers who had reserved their seats in advance, were seen standing in long queues at the reservation counter at the Erode Railway Junction, to cancel their tickets.

Unfortunately, there was no separate counter for cancellation of tickets.

After cancelling their train tickets, people tried to get seats in private and State Transport Corporation buses in order to reach their destinations.

Consequently, the crowd for booking of seats in buses was very high.
