BANGALORE: The proprietor of a recreation club was stabbed to death in J.J. Nagar police station limits in the early hours of Wednesday. The police said around 1.30 a.m. two men, who arrived on a motorcycle, stabbed Hanumantha (35) in the chest and abdomen with a knife on 3rd Cross, J.J. Nagar. Three persons were killed in as many road accidents in the city Tuesday night. The police said Devaraj (33) died on the spot after a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus hit his scooter near ITPL around 9.30 p.m. Devaraj, a resident of Whitefield, was a real estate agent. The K.R. Puram traffic police seized the bus and registered a case. Shabbir Basha (33) was killed after a lorry knocked down his bicycle near his house in Garudacharpalya in K.R. Puram traffic police station limits around 11.15 p.m. He was an employee of a private firm, the police said. A pedestrian aged around 30 was killed in a hit-and-run case reported from Laggere in Peenya police station limits. The body has been kept at M.S. Ramaiah Hospital mortuary, the police said. Veerendra Aradhya, 30 of Hoskote was killed after he was hit by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus near Channasandra bus stop. Aradhya, who was working as a labourer, was hit by the bus when he was crossing the road. The K.R. Puram traffic police are on the look out for the BMTC bus driver. In another incident, Drakshayini, 23, a house wife, was killed after she was hit by a water tanker near Nandini Layout on Outer Ring Road. Drakshayini was hit while she was crossing the road. The victim was taken to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, where she succumbed to the injuries. The police are searching the driver of the water tanker. Run over

Thieves broke open the rolling shutters of a motorcycle showroom on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar on Tuesday and made away with Rs. 94,000. The incident came to light on Wednesday. On a complaint by proprietor of the showroom Bhaskar, the police have registered a case.
