Interim relief sought

Special Correspondent

KOCHI: Journalists and non-journalist employees of newspaper organisations have sought a 60 per cent interim wage relief pending submission of the wage board’s report to the Government.

Their unions urged the board, which had a sitting here on Thursday, to recommend to the Union Government to order payment of 60 per cent of the current wage as interim relief.

They said that as there was a gap of 10 years since the last board, interim relief should be announced immediately.
