Backiaraj advances

TIRUCHI: J. Backiaraj (Vijay Carrom Club) defeated Suresh (Srirangam Recreation Club) 25-0, 25-0 and advanced to the third round of the non-medallist category in the district-level carrom tournament, conducted by the Southern Railway Institute, here on Thursday.
