NEW DELHI: Rohan Bopanna, partnering Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan, beat Olivier Charroin of France and Farrukh Dustov of Uzbekistan 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the $125,000 Challenger tennis tournament at Segovia, Spain, on Thursday.
The last-four entry, which assured the 27-year-old Bopanna 40 ATP points, would also see a top-100 entry for the Indian Davis Cupper.
Following the titles at Dublin, Manchester and Nottingham, Bopanna had reached No.101 in the doubles list with 517 points.
However, Mustafa Ghouse of India and Frank Moser of Germany went down 7-6(5), 3-6, 9-11 to Michel Kratochvil of Switzerland and Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in another quarterfinal encounter.
