Woman to lead BCs’ movement

Kakinada: The BCs Ayikya Sangharsha Samithi, which is spearheading the BC’s movement in the State, will soon have a woman to head the organisation, according to VGR Naragoni the president of the samithi.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, along with other BC leaders including Hans Kumar Phooley, Ballarapu Rajarao, Thatikonda Narasimha Rao, he said, he was quitting as the president.

He said the new woman president was highly qualified and already in the BC’s movement in Guntur district.

Activities

The samithi will coordinate the activities of all BC’s organisations in the State and emerge as a force to reckon with by 2009 elections.

The aim of the samithi was to achieve the legitimate and proportionate representation to the BC’s in the statute making bodies.

Naragoni who is also heading the new political party-the Rajyadhikara Party claimed that the party was gaining ground and grow strong by next general elections.

It would allot seats to all the castes proportionate to their strength.

He said the party East Godavari district unit was constituted with Kudupudi Maheswerarao as president, Balla Chandra Nageswerarao as the general secretary, Kadali Satya Murthy and Veeravalli Chinababu as the secretaries.

The party would take up PadaYathra programme from Bodasakurru to Amalapuram on August 15 to mobilise the support of people of all sections.
