Rape charge: man seeks bail

BANGALORE: A native of Sosale village in T. Narsipur taluk of Mysore district, who is accused of having raped his teenaged daughter, on Thursday moved the Karnataka High Court for bail.
According to the petitioner, Shivalinga Murthy, a complaint was filed against him by his wife alleging that he had raped their daughter.
According to the complaint, Shivalinga Murthy had molested and raped his daughter over a period of three years. The rape came to light when Shivalinga Murthy’s wife asked their daughter about her torn clothes. A complaint was then filed against Shivalinga Murthy and a case registered.
Shivalinga Murthy moved the High Court after the Mysore Sessions Court rejected his bail plea.
