Rain is such a pain
Rainy evenings are not new to Hyderabad. Ask any true blue Hyderabadi about them and he would plunge into nostalgic reminiscences of ‘those’ days.
Each hot day in summer would end with pleasant drizzle brightening those ‘baghs and bageechas’ around the city. Rainy days would be enjoyed in an arm chair with steaming ‘mirch bajjis’ and ‘pakoras’ for munching. Those days are gone forever.
Now the mention of rain leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of an average city dweller.
His/her monsoon experience is marked with flooded roads, potholes and hours spent in traffic.
As for the evenings, they are spent in AC chambers oblivious to the rain outside. Hyderabadis dread rain in the evenings.
