Ranga Reddy ZP turns one

Staff Reporter

Hyderabad: They were conspicuous by absence. The first anniversary celebrations of the Ranga Reddy Zilla Parishad headed by Telugu Desam Chairperson, P. Sunita Reddy, had no ministerial presence on Thursday.

Minister for Mines and Geology, P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, who was to have participated as chief guest, did not turn up. Former ministers T. Devender Goud, and A. Chandrashekhar, felt the ministers and the collector ought to have attended the programme. They saw no room for politics and said everyone should strive for all around development of the district.

Congratulating Ms. Sunita Reddy on her completion of one year in office, Mr. Goud said Zilla Parishad was a good training ground.

Ms. Sunita Reddy acknowledged the support extended by the district MLAs and said she concentrated on development of remote mandals in the district.

She further stated that she was trying to have a district planning board constituted for Ranga Reddy.
