Monsoon active in North T.N.

CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Rayalaseema and active over Tamil Nadu.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Rayalaseema and Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep, at many places over Tamil Nadu and Telangana and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

WEATHER FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over interior Karnataka, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, south coastal An dhra Pradesh, north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and rest Tamil Nadu.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Karnataka and Kerala during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Chennai City and neighbourhood (Valid until Saturday morning): Generally cloudy. Possibility of shower or thundershower in some areas.
