Student dies, case registered

Jaipur: A school student died in Udaipur district on Thursday after he was allegedly beaten up by his teacher.

Arpit (17) was admitted to a hospital with injuries on July 26. An FIR has been registered in which the father alleged that his son was badly beaten up by the school teacher and that the death was caused by the assault, police said.

Station House Office of Govardhanvilas police station Sobhag Singh told PTI over the phone from Udaipur that a case of murder had been registered against the teacher.
