Concern over female foeticide

KOLAR: Social activist D. Venkatesh has expressed concern over the declining sex ratio in the country. Female foeticide is the main reason for this dangerous trend, he said while inaugurating a seminar on the subject at Vemgal on Thursday.

Arun Kumar, medical officer of Vemgal Government Hospital, said conducting prenatal sex determination test was a cognisable offence and appealed to the public to bring any such incident to the notice of the authorities concerned.
