TUMKUR: Two of a three-member farmer family, who were bitten by a snake, died in hospital on Friday. The police said Madappa (65), a farmer from Lakkavvanahalli Gollarahatti in Tumkur district, was working in his field when the snake bit him. The snake bit his son, Chickanna (28), when he rushed to Madappa’s rescue. When Chickanna’s wife, Puttamma (25) tried to chase the snake away, the reptile bit her also. The father and the son died in hospital. Puttamma is admitted in hospital.
