Coimbatore: The North Milanese Export Consortium (CEAM), which is a group of textile machinery manufacturers, organised a seminar here recently. New markets
According to Ettore Guarneri, who heads the consortium of 20 units that make machinery for all segments of the textile industry, from spinning to packaging, the consortium aims at entering new markets. Though India was an established market, it had a huge potential, he said. During the last two years, the group registered a turnover of nearly 17 million euro in India. “This is one of the biggest markets,” he said. Focus
Though the group members manufactured machinery for all segments of the industry, the focus was in the processing and finishing areas. Hence, the consortium was looking at the projects coming up in these segments in India.
